Please feel free to submit applications for more than one business, organization, or individual in a category. Simply fill out a separate application form for each nominee. You may duplicate the form, if necessary.
Deadline for application submission is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013.
Submit all applications to the Environmental Committee in care of the GPCC,
Applications should cite recent outstanding or innovative environmental contributions.
Applications may be submitted in the following categories:
Business – Presented to a commercial enterprise that is not travel and tourism focused.
Institution – Presented to educational institutions or health care facilities, etc.
Non-Profit/Volunteer Organization – Presented to non-profit organizations, grass roots organizations, etc.
Government – Presented to federal, state, or local government entities or authorities.
Travel and Tourism – Presented to tourist-focused businesses.
Individual – Presented to an individual for outstanding environmental contributions environment during the past twelve months.
When appropriate, the GPCC also presents the Mark Lichty Founder’s Award for outstanding long-term commitment to Pocono-region environmental issues. Recipients of this award are chosen by the committee. The committee reserves the right to drop awards in categories if no suitable candidate exists.
